An ERT (Establishment Receiving Workers) refers to any premises where employees are required to work on a regular basis (offices, warehouses, workshops, commercial premises). ERTs are subject to the safety requirements of the Labour Code, particularly with regard to statutory periodic inspections and maintenance, and staff training.

Regulations impose several distinct obligations on ERTs and BUPs: maintaining a maintenance log detailing periodic inspections and maintenance work, providing and monitoring staff training, drafting safety instructions, and so on.
